The spies can be broken down into two different categories; those that joined the organisation in question with honest intentions, but where latterly enticed into acting against the organisation, and those who joined the organisation with the sole intent of acquiring private information.

You can ensure that their employment contract is iron clad, by increasing the penalties associated with miss appropriating company documents. This is a great method, but it won’t really affect those who went in with the intent of being a spy. Another precaution you may consider would be increased surveillance of your staff. By doing this, you are more able to begin ferreting out the bad seeds.
