In addition to patrolling business premises during non-working hours, it’s probably a good idea to have a remote monitoring system that’s portable and handy when required; a remote monitoring system that is available through a secure app on a company mobile device, that is also linked to security sensors along the perimeter of the premises.

This way if resources are limited and the premises are large, it’s easier to save money on extra security personnel without sacrificing the safety of the business.

If the security guards are on patrol and a sensor on a perimeter fence is activated, they can access a live feed from the surveillance cameras in that area (providing that area has CCTV coverage) and respond accordingly if there is a problem, such as an intruder attempting to gain access; or reset the sensor if it was triggered by something else, such as an animal. This eliminates the need for the security guards to be permanently manning a security surveillance system, and it may help them to get to a location quicker if they are already on patrol.
