1. Using initiative – A good security guard will be more than just a deterrent, they will be able to use their initiative to understand potential harmful situations, and act quickly.
2. Customer Focussed – Whilst protecting staff and the company should be very important, it’s just as crucial to be customer focussed, helping the company make sales when possible, building trust with clients.
3. Confidence – This is key and you have to be very confident in your abilities to handle alarming situations. You should be able to approach customers confidently, and intervene at the right time.
